Coronavirus Action Plan – Panthera Accounting

You might be concerned about how Covid-19(coronavirus) may affect how you work with us at Panthera Accounting.  At the moment, it’s pretty much business as usual for us, however we are following advice from Public Health England, and keeping up to date with the daily briefings from HM Government, and our action plan is being updated daily in relation to this.

As you may already know, all of us here at Panthera are able to work from home because we’re a fully cloud based practice, so it will be business as usual if we find it necessary to self-isolate or quarantine ourselves.

We will continue to be contactable by email and are also able to have our office phones diverted if necessary.  If you phone and cannot be connected with the team member you wish to talk with, please ask if a message can be forwarded to them to ask them to phone you back.

We’re asking all our clients to use a virtual meeting rather than a face-to-face one with us for the forthcoming weeks. We use Zoom for video-conferencing with many clients already, it allows us to see each other and share our screens, and we find it a really great way to run year end meetings, quick catch ups and tutorials. It also saves on unnecessary travel, giving you more time to get on with your own business (and you can meet with us from the comfort of your own sofa!) There’s no software for you to download, just a simple link to click from an email invitation that we send to you, and you can use your computer mic and webcam to connect.

In the office at the moment our policy is for staff to continue to come to 144a, however if one of our team is unwell, we are asking them to stay away from the office and work from home. We are also following all of the latest guidance from the government related to travel abroad and contact with infected persons. This may result in occasional appointment cancellations, so we ask for your understanding if this occurs.

If you are feeling additional financial stresses to your business because of the Covid-19 outbreak, please contact us if there is anything we can help with, for example accessing funding including the new government backed loans announced in Wednesday’s budget, writing an updated cashflow forecast, or putting together your business Coronavirus Impact Review. We feel very strongly that our role as your accountant is to provide extra business support and guidance through this period, along with helping our local business community to pull together and support one another. We are aiming to keep up our online presence, host Q&A sessions and pilot our clients through these uncharted territories, so do please keep checking in with us.

We suggest that you do not rely on this document alone and that you follow the regularly updated UK government advice to business here:

Moving to Panthera is easy

It’s a big decision to move accountants. We get it. That’s why we have a clearly defined process in place to make it as straightforward as possible.

Step 1: We have a short initial discovery meeting to understand your needs so we can create the perfect service package for your business

Step 2: You receive your tailored proposal with one simple monthly fee and you e-sign the letter of engagement

Step 3: You provide your current accountant with notice – and you leave the rest to us!

We liaise directly with your previous accountant regarding the transfer of information. We request authority from HMRC to act on your behalf. We handle as much of the admin as possible, so you can get on with running your business – safe in the knowledge that everything is going on in the background. And if there’s any action for you, we let you know.
